The EPICENTER at Edgewood’s November Health Fair & Food Giveaway will take place on Friday, November 9 from 2-5 p.m., with food distribution beginning at 3.
As we do each month, The EPICENTER will partner with Tabitha’s House and share fresh produce with Harford County citizens in need. We will also feature a broad spectrum of resources for all community members, including the following services:
- Free blood pressure screenings
- Employment Readiness Specialist
- Free Narcan training (emergency opioid overdose treatment)
- Free vision screenings*
- Info on free and low-cost healthcare for seniors and qualifying citizens
- Harford County Health Department Care Coordination Plus and Medical Assistance
- Catholic Charities Early Head Start Program
- Free cancer prevention services
- Mountain Christian Church
*Opportunities to receive free or low-cost glasses may be available for qualifying individuals.

The EPICENTER is now enrolling for the 2018-19 Before and After School Program The Zone. Our Before School Program will be a new addition this year. We are so happy to have the opportunity to provide our community with a safe, fun and nurturing environment for children to come before and after school each day.
The program is open for kindergarten through 8th grade students. The hours of the program will be 6:30AM drop off for the Before School Program and 6:30PM pickup for the After School Program. The cost of the Before School Program will be $25 per week and After School Program will be $55 per week which includes transportation to and from school if needed.
Transportation is available to and from the following Harford County Schools:
- Magnolia Middle School
- Edgewood Middle School
- Edgewood Elementary
- Joppatowne Elementary School
- Magnolia Elementary School
- Deerfield Elementary School
- William Paca/Old Post Elementary School
- Riverside Elementary
Here is a quick overview of the programs:
Before School Program
A Healthy breakfast will be provided each morning along with small group structured games, moderate gym activities, completion of homework if needed, and or a quiet restful place for your children.
After School Program
- Dinner is served daily
- Math & reading tutoring as well as homework assistance by certified staff
- Age appropriate Gym activities
- Arts & Crafts
- Lego Club
- Mentoring Program

On Saturday, June 16th, our EPICENTER Team was proud and honored to serve during the Senator Bob Hooper House Hospice Regatta 2018!
What are some ways you can build, maintain, and protect your credit? Come to one of APGFCU and Harford Community Action Agency’s Credit Finesse workshops here at The EPICENTER on Thursday, April 12th. Workshop will take place from 1-2 p.m., and an identical workshop will take place from 2-3.

New Internet Cafe’ hours for the Fall. If you need to use the internet to surf the web, complete a job application or just play a game please feel free to come in any time Tuesday thru Friday between the hours of 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Al Anon Tuesdays, 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Al-Anon is for anyone who has been affected by alcoholism. If you are concerned about someone else’s drinking, the Al-Anon program can offer help. For more information call Sheri P. 443-207-6804
Alcoholics Anonymous Thursdays, 7:30 pm
AA is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hop with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.
Narcotics Anonymous Fridays, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
NA atmosphere provides help from peers and offers an ongoing support network for addicts who wish to pursue and maintain a drug-free lifestyle.
Edgewood Farmers Market is back, starting May 12th Until October 20th from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM!
