VOLUNTEERYou can make a difference here
The EPICENTER is a community of individuals who lend a helping hand to each other. We’d love to find a place for you to use your gifts and talents to give back!
If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out an application below and/or contact our Community Engagement Coordinator, Holly Erickson.
Weekdays & Evenings
There are a variety of opportunities to help in the office and around the building to facilitate the many activities that take place. Daytime availability is especially a great asset. Committing to a day or two per week to help in the office and work with our Operations Manager would be a tremendous blessing.
Ways to help: Answering phones, data input, greeting, making calls, sending emails, room set-up
INTERNET CAFE HOST
We have computers available for public use on weekdays. People can come in and enjoy our facilities while getting their work done or just searching the web, similar to the public library, which is very active. We have free WiFi available and a comfortable place to sit.
Ways to help: Pick a day and be present to facilitate computer check out/check in and to be available to assist users as needed. Having a warm & helpful presence is most important.
CHILD CARE ASSISTANT
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6:30pm-8:30pm
Providing childcare during these two evenings supports other programming taking place at those times. Child care is a significant obstacle for people accessing opportunities that may be valuable to them.
Ways to help: Loving on children during these evenings.
FOOD GIVE-AWAY & HEALTH FAIR ASSISTANTS
Second Friday of every month; 2-5pm
We distribute food to individuals and families in need each month in conjunction with our Health Fair.
Ways to help: Set up; separate and hand out food; host and greet attendees; hours vary between 12-6pm
